SEALED 2020

How privileged we are…

We are blessed with so much, aren’t we? Individually, within our own families, and collectively as a church family. We praise God for the roof we have over our heads. For safe roads and streets and places to park. For food on our tables. For the opportunity to gather and freely worship each week. For the ability to find what we need, when we need it, and a community of people who come together to make great things happen for Jesus. And this community consists of every one of us, playing our part, partnering in faith, to make a difference in our community and in our world. How privileged we are.

To be a blessing…

SEALED 2020 is the next step in our continued commitment to be a place to connect. It is a three-fold commitment over twenty months (November 2018 – June 2020) to the following priorities:

  1. Our privileged responsibility to be good stewards of what we own.
  2. Our privileged responsibility to be good servants to our local community.
  3. Our privileged responsibility to be good supporters of our global partners.

With what we own…

Our very first God-given responsibility is stewardship (Genesis 1-2) and in His love, God has given us freedom to choose how to exercise that responsibility. Stewardship is partnering with God in His work on the earth, and caring for the resources that he has released into our care.

Questions to prayerfully ponder:

  1. Am I participating as an active partner with God through stewardship? Why or why not?
  2. Do I feel reluctant to partner with God in this way? If so, what is the reason for my reluctance?
  3. Do I recognize the profound significance and impact of my role as God’s steward?
  4. Do I view my material resources as an opportunity to partner with Kingdom work?

We are accountable for the resources that God entrusts to us (Matthew 25) and through this Campaign, we are believing to see the burden of debt reduced so that we can be free to receive and steward even more resources. While the work on our roof has been generously covered by our denomination, the ongoing stewardship of God’s house is an honor, privilege and long-term investment that we make together.

Over the 20 months, we are believing to see $180,000 raised to cover the complete cost of past and projected stewardship projects.

With how we serve…

As followers of Jesus and people who are chosen by God, we are called to be compassionate and kind especially to those in need (Colossians 3:12, Matthew 9:36). Our Compassion Ministry serves tens of thousands of people each year and is a tangible act of God’s love, provision and kindness for so many, whether on a weekly or monthly basis.

Questions to prayerfully ponder:

  1. Am I participating as an active partner in showing God’s compassion? Why or why not?
  2. Do I feel reluctant to partner with God in this way? If so, what is the reason for my reluctance?
  3. Do I recognize the profound significance and impact that Compassion has on a person?
  4. Do I view my time and talent as an opportunity to partner with Kingdom work?

While campaign funds will cover stewardship improvements made to our facility, of equal importance is that each person who steps foot on our property in search of answers to external needs (like food) is also gaining answers to their greatest internal need – the love and redemptive power of Jesus. We are grateful for your ongoing generosity of time, treasure and talent to our Compassion Ministry.

Over the 20 months, we are believing to see $20,000 raised to support the ministry of the Compassion Center of Cucamonga Christian Fellowship.

With how we support…

While there is much that we do on a local level, we cannot ignore the command Jesus gave to be witnesses of His love to the very ends of the earth, to love Him with all we’ve got and to love others as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). It is our great honor to co-mission/partner with him to reach the world with the gospel of the good news, whether physically going to the ends of the earth, or through partnership in prayer and finances.

Questions to prayerfully ponder:

  1. Am I participating as an active partner in sharing the good news of Jesus? Why or why not?
  2. Do I feel reluctant to partner with God in this way? If so, what is the reason for my reluctance?
  3. Do I recognize the profound significance and impact that Jesus’ love has on a person?
  4. Do I view my prayers and partnership as an opportunity to support Kingdom work?

While campaign funds will cover the stewardship improvements made to the roof over our heads, we are committed to looking beyond our needs and providing a roof over the head of families in parts of the world where a roof is a luxury. We are grateful for your ongoing generosity to our missionaries around the world and those who they serve.

Over the 20 months, we are believing to see $20,000 raised to support the mission of our Free Methodist World Missions.

Because of what God has done…

Since the moment when Cucamonga Christian Fellowship began in 1983, God has been so faithful to His church, and to the families that call CCF “home” and we are so grateful for all that He has done. For the lives that have been changed by His love. For the hands and the feet that have provided care and support. For the hearts that have been willing to serve where He leads. CCF has been and continues to be a place to connect, and we pray that as you connect in your giving and generosity, you will be reminded of all that God has done and excited for all that He will do.
