Children need healthy food year-round to flourish and achieve their highest ambitions! Learn more about the free Sumer Meal Programs and nutritional support services available in your community.

The USDA Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to children when school is out. Summer Meal Programs are designed to ensure children get the nutritious meals they need during the summer months so they’re ready to learn when they return to school in the fall.

There are a number of ways to find a site offering free meals to children near you:

  • Visit https://www.fns.usda.gov/meals4kids for Summer Food Service Program locations
  • Call 1-866-348-6479 (English) or 1-877-842-6273 (Spanish)
  • Text FOOD (for English) or COMIDAS (for Spanish) to 304-304

Additionally, The WhyHunger Hotline refers people in need across the U.S. to food pantries, soup kitchens, summer meals sites, government nutrition programs, and grassroots organizations, especially those that provide access to nutritious foods and nutritional support services.
