Liz Cornell

Liz Cornell holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She earned her California teaching credential in 1988 and has over 35 years of experience teaching children and adults of all ages.  During the past 21 years Liz has worked in ministry – as a children’s pastor and with adults as a speaker, bible teacher, and small group leader.  At present, she is pursuing ordination in the Free Methodist Church and is taking classes at Azusa Pacific University Seminary.

Liz was confirmed as a Conference Ministerial Candidate at the 2023 Annual Conference for the FMCSC. Liz has also been working to help develop and grow the denomination’s racial reconciliation ministry and is the author of The Love Required of Us: A Small Group Discussion Guide to Racial Understanding and Reconciliation and a children’s curriculum entitled The Special Fruit. Both works have been published by the Free Methodist Light and Life Publishing.

She currently serves the CCF community in the Compassion Center and is a greeter on Sunday mornings. She has served on the Ministerial Education and Guidance Board for the FMCSC and is now serving her
second term on the Nominating Committee as the Chair. She has been married to her husband, Brad, for 37 years and has four children and four grandchildren.

Liz is excited about this new season at CCF and the mission and vision which Pastor Janelle and Pastor Cameron have for us a church body.
