Action and Awareness Week
October 30 - November 6 2022
Studies show that globally, Christians are among the most persecuted religious groups in the world today, and often face dire consequences for believing and practicing their faith. 1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one member suffers, all suffer together” which means that regularly remembering our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted is a vital component of who we are called to be as the church. This year, we are pleased to connect you with some Daily Devotional Readings and Prayers for Action & Awareness Week of the Persecuted Church.
As we remember those who are Christians around the world, suffering for their faith, we choose to do three specific things:
Pray:
For our suffering brothers and sisters.
Raise awareness:
Particularly by setting aside the first Sunday of November to reflect on this truth, and providing resources to bring awareness to the challenges that Christians face around the world.
Give:
Provide resources and support to partnerships with missionaries and organizations who are making a difference in countries where Christians face persecution.
Barnabas Aid and Voice of the Martyrs are both important nonprofit organizations whose international mission is to defend the human rights of persecuted Christians. Use the links below to learn more this important week of reflection.
