PRAYER

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]." - James 5:16

We believe that God cares for us, and is interested in the details of our lives. And when we say yes to new life through what Jesus did on the cross, we are welcomed into a new, ongoing connection to God. From the beginning, we were created with this need for connection, and prayer brings us closer to God and strengthens that connection.

Our world today is far from a peace-filled place, and in the midst of all that we face, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 encourages us to “Pray continually.” Through prayer, our lives become an ongoing conversation, where God promises to listen, and to be our antidote to the chaos and anxiety of this world. Prayer brings the peace of God into every situation, whether it is our own or one we are praying on behalf of others for. (Philippians 4:6-7).

 

At CCF, we believe in the importance and power of prayer. It is through prayer that we are transformed and renewed. It is prayer that confirms what God is calling us do do. It is prayer that reminds us that we are dependant on God. And it is prayer that shifts our attention to “him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

SOZO PRAYER MINISTRY

SOZO is a Greek word translated that means “saved, healed, delivered.” Sozo ministry is a unique inner healing and deliverance ministry aimed to get to the root of things hindering your personal connection with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A Sozo session is a scheduled time for a trained Sozo team to sit down with you and with the help of the Holy Spirit walk you through the process of freedom and wholeness. Please note that a Sozo session is not the same as Counseling, and you may find that connecting with our Counseling Center is a good follow up to this session.
