What We Believe At CCF

WE BELIEVE

1. In one God, who is eternal, all-powerful and absolutely Holy, who has revealed Himself to man as existing in three distinguishable expressions of His essential being: the Father, the Son – Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19;  2 Corinthians 13:14;  John 14:15-17)

2. That the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments (the accepted canon of Holy Scripture) is God’s eternal, inspired, infallible Word in its entirety – and is the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16-17;  1 Corinthians 2:13;  2 Peter 1:19-21)

3. In the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis, and man’s total spiritual depravity and inability to attain divine righteousness. (Romans 5:12, 18;  8:1-9;  6:23;  3:23;  7:18, 21 – 25)

4. In the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of humankind, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. (Luke 1:26-35;  John 1:18;  Isaiah 7:14)

5. Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 17;  Romans 4:25)

6. In the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, and His exaltation as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (John 14:1-3;  Philippians 2:9-11;  Revelation 17:14;  19:11-17)

7. In Christ’s personal, literal return (second coming) for the church. (1 Timothy 6:14-16;   1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;  Matthew 24:30-31, 42, 44)

8. In the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary bu which we obtain remission of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9;  Hebrews 9:12-15;  Romans 5:11)

9. In the sacrament of water baptism in the name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Christ. (Matthew 28:19;  Acts 2:34-36;  19:1-6)

10. In the operation of the gifts of the Spirit, as manifested in the Early Church. (1 Corinthians 12-14)

11. In the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfection of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. (Ephesians 5:18;  2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1)

12. In the table of the Lord, commonly called “Communion” or “The Lord’s Supper” for believers as a memorial celebration of the fellowship of the Body of Christ and our redemption through His Blood. (1 Corinthians 11:28-32)

13. In eternal life for believers: a literal heaven, where we will live and reign with Christ, and eternal punishment for unbelievers: a literal hell for those who reject Christ. (John 5:24;  Mark 9:43-58;  2 Thessalonians 1:9;  Revelation 20:10-15)

14. In the reality and personality of Satan and eternal judgement of Satan and his demons. (Matthew 25:41;  Revelation 20:10-15)
